Message by our Spiritual Director Dr. Rev. Fr. Augustine Mundiath CMF

Ocean Star Ministries is a Divine call to share Christ’s love, proclaim His truth and guide everyone closer to Holy Catholic Church” says Mr. Robin Daniel , the Chairman of these ministries. It is an invitation to share the light of Christ to the ends of the world. It is to prepare the whole humanity for the second coming of Christ. Every baptized Christian is a missionary and it is his or her duty to proclaim the Good News to the whole world through their word and deed. I congratulate Robin and team for their initiative and zeal for the love of Christ which they have experienced in their own lives. They do the mission in the digital platforms and make it accessible to all ages and places. They are initiating the ministries through Audio Bible, Bible Reading, Festal greeting, Intercessory prayers, Holy Rosary, short videos etc.

I wish you all the blessings for your ministries, and the may God inspire and guide you in all your activities and may it produce hundredfold harvest for the greater Glory of God.

Rev. Fr. Augustine Mundiath, CMF is a priest of the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (Claretian Missionaries), a congregation dedicated to missionary evangelization and the proclamation of the Word of God.

He was born in 1958, ordained as priest in 1983 and is engaged in the preaching teaching and administration. He was in charge of the formation of seminarians for 30 years. He was the rector and formator of three seminaries of the congregation. He started the Claretian Print media in India and started to print the Bible Diary and now it prints 125,000 copies every year. He spreads the word of God through his preaching; He has preached 65 retreats to priests, religious sisters and seminarians. He was the spiritual director to sisters and priests of 10 different congregations. He was the founder of  a new Province in the Congregation and was in charge of it in the  first 12 years. He started 14 centers in different parts of the country and initiated new missions in different counties like, Quatar in Gulf, Frankfurt in Germany, Scotland in UK, and sent missionaries to Africa, Europe , South East Asia, USA and South America. He has a Maters Degree in Indian and Western Philosophy and PhD in Philosophy from Cotholic University of Leuven in Belgium. From 1987- 2023, he was teaching philosophy at Saint Perter’s Pontifical Institute Bangalore, College of Philosophy at Wardha, Maharasthra, Saint Thomas Apostolic Seminary, Kottayam, Kerala, and Saint Joseph Major Seminary, Mangalapuzha, Alwaye, Kerala.

At present, guided by the charism of St. Anthony Mary Claret, Fr. Augustine’s ministry focuses on preaching, formation of the Laity , and mission-oriented pastoral service. He has a deep passion for helping people understand the Word of God in a way that speaks to real life and inspires personal conversion. He  engages in Scripture-cantered preaching, spiritual guidance, retreats, and faith formation programs, encouraging believers to grow as conscious disciples and active members of the Church’s mission. His approach highlights personal responsibility in faith, openness to the Spirit, and commitment to Gospel values.
